Rural Water Supply Network (RWSN)

Improving access to safe drinking water by supporting the uptake of the WHO Guidelines for drinking water quality, improving rural water delivery services and regulation.

RWSN is a collaborative platform dedicated to knowledge exchange, networking and learning to achieve universal access to safe water, with a focus on rural water services.

According to the latest Eawag report, over 4 billion worldwide do not have access to adequate drinking water services. RWSN's mission is to convene a space for individual professionals and organisations to collaborate and develop guidelines.

RWSN has been described through interviews with strategic and individual members, to be a 'unique' network and the prime (or the only) professional network that supports scale up of rural water supply for practitioners.

Our network helps governments, NGOs, development partners and the private sector learn from each other, to jointly develop locally adapted solutions and to scale up successful approaches.
