The Association of Polish Music is a non-profit NGO with the main goal to organize The Festival of Polish Music. Since 2005, the Festival has focused on presenting Polish music from the Middle Ages to the present day, placing it in a broader international context. The mission of the event, organized in July in Krakow, is to recall the best Polish composers and their works, to discover forgotten music, and to break the stereotypes that have grown up around this work. This festival recalls both forgotten Polish operas, great religious and symphonic works, vocal lyricism or top-notch chamber music by such composers as Jozef Michal Poniatowski, Jozef Elsner, Karol Kurpinski, Jozef Kozlowski, Roman Statkowski and Mieczyslaw Weinberg. Performers at the Festival included Peter Jablonski, Jonathan Plowright, Elżbieta Szmytka, Yulianna Avdeeva, Evgeni Bozhanov, Kyohei Sorita, Eric Lu, Seong-Jin Cho, Janusz Wawrowski, Nikolay Khozyainov, Piotr Pławner, Tobias Koch, Linus Roth and Agata Szymczewska. Among the ensembles hosted in Krakow were Collegium 1704, Academy of St. Martin in the Fields, London Sinfonietta, Wrocław Baroque Ensemble, Sinfonia Varsovia, NOSPR, , Polish Radio Chamber Orchestra “Amadeus” or Ostrava Philharmonic Orchestra, and conducted by Jerzy Maksymiuk, Agnieszka Duczmal, Alexander Liebreich or Łukasz Borowicz, among others. The festival has also hosted prominent composers: Wojciech Kilar, Henryk Mikołaj Górecki, Krzysztof Penderecki, Paweł Mykietyn and Agata Zubel. The director of the Festival is Pawel Orski.

To promote European cultural patterns based on music, 5. Creating a climate of tolerance and respect for cultural differences between the cultures of Europe, 6. Popularization of current news about Polish music, 7. Publishing magazines and publications on Polish music, 8. Organizing and participating in special events, 9. The Association of Polish Music is financed by: -The City of Kraków (in 5-years' periods) -The Ministry of Culture and National Heritage (in 3-years' periods) -private sponsors or local institutions.
