Philippines: expansion and improvement of multigrade schools with UNICEF - This three-year project, which started in 2017, aims to improve quality of and the access to education for children with multigrade schools in remote areas in Northern Samar in the Eastern Visayas region. The programme pursues specific strategies to improve the delivery and quality of multigrade education with engagement of parents and communities with multigrade schools, capacity building in multigrade teaching and continuous mentoring and supervision.

This Re&Act-UNICEF collaboration builds on an ECD pilot program started in 2016, where UNICEF implemented a parental education package in 500 communities in five Nepalese districts.

Kenya: secondary school scholarships with Aiducation - While primary education is free-of-charge for all children in Kenya, secondary school education is not. Therefore, thousands of students drop out of school after their first years of education. Re&Act’s goal of this four-year partnership with Aiducation is to provide 80 high-potential students from disadvantaged backgrounds access to secondary-school education and better opportunities to realise their full potential for themselves and for their country.
