Goals
NOMIS endeavors to develop and strengthen the conditions conducive to the pursuit of high-risk basic research and to accelerate discovery processes. In line with that objective, NOMIS takes an integrated approach to filling funding gaps in basic research.
-
Funding Policy
Guided by its core values—curiosity, courage, trust, mutual respect, and collaboration—the foundation enables insight-driven interdisciplinary research through its NOMIS Distinguished Scientist and Scholar Award, NOMIS Fellowships, research grants, strategic alliances and partnerships, and innovation and collaborative research networks. NOMIS engages with institutions and researchers who share its vision and values and who exhibit scientific excellence. NOMIS identifies candidates exclusively through its own global network of researchers and dedicated nominators. These nominators are high-level senior scientists at renowned research institutes, with expertise in a broad range of disciplines. Unsolicited applications are not accepted.
