   The association Il Museo in erba is responsible for managing the children’s museum of the same name, a space designed for children and families to explore art through interactive, play-based exhibitions created especially for them. It is a unique cultural reality in Ticino.

3. Goals

   Our longstanding mission is to bring as many people as possible, starting from early childhood, closer to the world of art and creativity. In an age where artificial intelligence is increasingly automating technical skills, creativity, intuition, and nonlinear thinking are becoming essential resources for society. Il Museo in erba nurtures exactly these qualities by planting seeds of culture, beauty, and freedom in the hearts of the youngest generations.

4. Principles

   By engaging children in the world of art, Il Museo in erba provides a vital public service that contributes to the development of a more creative and joyful society. Our vision is for the museum to remain a point of reference for future generations, a place where children can: • experience cultural discovery, • begin developing critical thinking skills from a very young age, and • lay strong foundations for facing the future. At the same time, the museum also serves a social role by: • fostering inclusive projects within the local community, and • encouraging intergenerational exchange.

5. Measures

   To achieve our goals, we organize interactive exhibitions, creative workshops for schools and families, training sessions for educators, and collaborations with local institutions and artists. We also develop inclusive and intergenerational projects to broaden access to culture.

6. Financing

   Our current financial structure is as follows: • 54% from sponsors and private donations • 6% from public support • 40% from revenue-generating activities (ticket sales, workshops, birthday events, etc.)
